    Default Revoltech by Kaiyodo

I wanted to bring this thread back to life... I did start one for this line didn't I?

I've seen photos of all the way up to Series 025 now (025 is classic Megatron BTW), but I just saw 019 classic Optimus Prime at a local shop the other day. Thought I'd post an ad pic from Figure Oh magazine of 018 GiantRobo and 019 Optimus Prime.

This is still one of my favorite figure lines. Brilliant detail and top notch play value. They're a bit on the spendy side, and a little hard to find, but there's not much out there that beats 'em, so Revoltech figures are well worth tracking down.

    Default

Forgot to post how I saw the Optimus figure at a local shop a while ago -- didn't buy it at first, and then when I wandered back to pick one up, they'd sold out.

They had it for $29.99, which is a bit steep as far as I'm concerned, but it's a very cool looking toy.

    Thumbs up

I rank Revoltech figures right up there with the
Soul Of Chogokin figures, as my personal favorites.
If ya haven't done so, start collecting as many
(if not All) of the Revoltechs released thus far...

...with the new Revoltech Generation 2 line just getting
started releasing, the 1st-generation Revoltechs might
soon become harder to find amongst the very first Revo
    figures released.

    Default Time to drool.

Looking through the Toy Fair photos of Revoltech product...

    http://photos.actionfigs.com/showgallery.php?cat=2696

...it's really starting to sink in just how thoroughly his brand has blown most others out of the water. I'm a huge fan of the Microman line and just about everything that Takara accomplished under that brand, but so much of what Revoltech has done seems well beyond what Takara was able to do. For sure (and it makes me sad to say it) Revoltech has Takara/Tomy beat these days.

Some of what we're seeing at Toy Fair is old news to me. Still though, I'm looking at everything and I'm just amazed.

    In this...

...photo we're seeing brilliant G1 Transformers on the left, and even more brilliant Valkyries on the right. I need that VF-1S figure! (Maybe it'll help me forget how I sold off my old Bandai VF-1S ages ago.) I'm pretty sure the Macross stuff started turning up at retail a few months ago, so I'll start looking a little more seriously now.

    In these photos...

...we're seeing awesome Armored Trooper VOTOMS and Mobile Police Patlabor figures. All of them are great, and though I don't know that much about Patlabour, I love the HL-98 figure.

Photos of absolutely wonderful Getter and Mazinger figures make me very happy...

    That Mazinger-Z figure is perfect.

Then there are the Fraulien figures...

I'm really more into the robot figures, but Rei and Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion are so well done, that I may have to look for them when they start turning up.

So amazing! I'd love to see a few more things from Revoltech, like maybe L.Gaim or Maschinen Krieger figures, and I'd be really amazed to see a Revoltech Gundam figure or two... though I know that'll never happen.
