TRU Silver Anniversary Wolverine

I found a new Hasbro Marvel Legends figure tonight. It's the first New ML exclusive that I know of. It says it's a TRU Exclusive, Limited Edition, 1 of 25,000 if you can call 25,000 Limited. Here's a pic:

I heard of that, but didn't think it would be out for several months.

Suffice to say that Hasbro is going to ruin Marvel Legends with useless silver-plated figures as well as shoddy construction.

To release a "25th Anniversary of the First Issue of the Frank Miller Wolverine Mini-Series" silver figure is really grasping at some straws here.

I picked up this figure via TRU.com and it is nicely put together. Other than that, though...it is the EXACT same sculpt as the Legends Series 6 Wolverine figure...nothing EXCLUSIVE about it other than the lame silver paint.

You guys aren't Hasbro SW collectors, are you?

We got burned out on this silver carp a couple of years back. They love to do it. Once, even up to three times, can be cool. But when there's armies of silver figures, all exclusive to different venues (be it a certain retailer, show, whatever) it's lame.

Frankly, I'm surprised we're getting those beautiful resculpts for the 25th anniversary of GIJoe instead of "Silver Snake Eyes."

I saw a ton of the Star Wars silver editions and didn't think much of them...this just goes to show what the die-hard COLLECTOR will buy!

I got all the silver SW figures up until the second Vader. You had to buy this massive multipack of pegwarming figures to get that one. Worse, it was a KB exclusive.

I think they're done with holos too, KH. Now it's dumb Clonetrooper and Stormtrooper repaints. I'm so sick of the Blackhole Stormtrooper now.

To hell with the blackhole stromtrooper. Wanna know why its called that? Its because a Hasbro rep s**t it out of his black hole.

One Blackhole Stormtrooper wasn't bad. Unlike most of the dumb repaints, it's actually based on an elite Stormtrooper class that appeared in the old Marvel Comic and in Crimson Empire.

But when you have the exclusive figure, then an exclusive maquette, an exclusive Galactic Hero, and an exclusive Unleashed, all in less than a year, that's excessive.

Dunno about you, KH, but I passed on all those big Galatic Heroes multipacks. It would've been cool to get the new figures, but they were repaints. And the sets were hella expensive, and Hasbro loves to make you buy the same figure over again to get new ones even in the 2-packs. I didn't want to buy an army of figures I had (some twice) to get a purple Clonetrooper or black astromech.

Saw the silver Wolverine at TRU today... it's nothing special. I'm sure it'll clearance with the rest of the silver TRU figures at some point.

Aren't they going to be pawning off a special boxed F4 Silver Surfer figure next. (Talk about lazy.)
